If you don't know, then ask

I’m the type of person that has a lot to say about everything, I think it's probably my super cool vision and how fast I'm able to notice things.

When I was a little girl I used to ask many questions, and don’t all kids? But my mom said I was a special case. One time I was at a sleepover with some friends, I was about 10 years old. I remember we started to play a very dangerous game. There was about 6 of us, I believe I was the youngest. We agreed that everyone had to say one thing we did not like about each person in the room. I remember telling some girls that I was annoyed when I’d hear them sing along to the radio in the car (I really was btw). Then  it was someone else’s turn to say something about me,

A girl said : “I just think you ask too many questions, unnecessary ones too”
Me: “wait, what?”

Another girl : “yeah you know, like questions about the smallest things”
Me: “really?”

Another girl: “it gets annoying”
Me: “why do you say that? What am I asking that is so annoying?”

Another girl: “see there you go asking more questions”
Me: “why can’t you just answer them?”

We agreed to stop this “game” and go and watch a movie. I will never forget that day... my eyes were actually  opened. I do ask a lot of questions! No wonder I was so smart and annoying! J

So anyway as I grew older I could see how the people that took the time to answer my questions were all teachers in my life, I did less stupid things (notice I said less) . I also learned how to ask myself questions and actually answer them myself. It helped me grow to be an honest person to myself and others. So it got me thinking… annoying or not, ask your question! You never know who will have the patience to answer it and teach you something new.

To all my teachers out there I love you all! J
